With Fort Worth being the 13th-largest city in the country and growing, I understand the urgency in addressing our toughest challenges while matching this rapid growth with strong services, infrastructure and a local economy. As your future city councilmember, I will fight for a City where we, our family and our neighbors can thrive.

Jumpstarting our city’s economy

I understand the importance of addressing our current public-health crisis and the economic disaster that we are facing. As we begin the process of healing and recovery, I will support evidence-based plans that reduce further spreading of COVID-19 and lead to smart and responsible growth in our District and City.

That’s why I will support plans that:
• Increase access to testing and vaccinations.
• Ensure our local small businesses get the resources they need to continue providing essential services in our community.
• Create quality new jobs right here in District 6.
• Protect our City’s environmental quality.
• Oversee your tax dollars responsibly.
Improving neighborhood safety

I believe in addressing the issue of neighborhood safety at its core by prioritizing the prevention of crime. This begins by making stronger investments in proven strategies known to foster thriving neighborhoods that are safe, healthy and filled with opportunity.

That’s why I will support plans that:
• Strengthen our police and first-response services in building authentic partnerships with communities, defining standards with greater transparency and putting forward accountability systems that ensure positive outcomes.
• Create modern transit systems that are efficient, safe, accessible and reliable.
• Develop complete streets by installing much-needed traffic controls and street lights — especially in areas where street racing is a concern.
• Rejuvenate community spaces that promote family learning and safe recreation like our parks, community centers and libraries.
• Develop pathways for home ownership and home improvement.
Promoting a fair, transparent and representative government

Our democracy works best when our government is representative of all our communities. This election will not only decide who will represent us for the next two years, but how our district is represented for the next 10 years. As a forward-thinker, I will work to ensure that we, our loved ones and our neighbors are well-represented in our city government over the next decade.

That’s why I will support plans that:
• Make it easier for residents to participate in our city government and to hold our city leaders accountable.
• Draw fair boundaries during the redistricting process that ensure the council of the 13th-largest city in the U.S. is representative of the people it serves.
• Promote representative, reflective and responsive leadership at City Hall.
